Day of the Social Economy of Navarre 2019

The November 5th, at Casa Gurbindo took place the celebration of the Day of the Social Economy of Navarra 2019. The event was organized by the Business Confederation of Social Economy (CEPES) Navarra, which brings together the five families of the Social Economy in Navarre: ANEL, UCAN, Foundations from Navarre, REAS Navarre and EINA. These companies and organizations concentrate more than 20,000 direct jobs in Navarra, after having increased the jobs generated in the last five years by 45%.

The event, which is held annually, brings together representatives of companies and entities of the Social Economy, institutions, public administrations and society of Navarre. The edition of the year 2019 was attended by a hundred people, numerous media and was closed by the president of the Government of Navarra. During the meeting the presentation of various projects with purpose was carried out by the different families that form the Social Economy in Navarra. After the opening of the day by the general director of Economic Policy of the Government of Navarre, Izaskun Goñi, representatives of ANEL, UCAN, REAS, EINA and Foundations presented the projects they are working on.

The participation in this day by EINA was through the intervention of the president of the Association, Eduardo Sanz, who explained the functioning and values of the social economy in the integration companies. In addition, the promotional video of EINA was projected as a public presentation of it. In addition, throughout the act it was placed at the entrance of the enclosure the sculpture of 6% with the slogan: “for a more social economy / ekonomia sozialaren alde”.

The president of Navarra, María Chivite, in charge of closing the Social Economy Day, stressed that this sector “lives a peak”, which has allowed her to “be competitive in a global world”, as well as to become a fundamental part of the Smart Specialization Strategy, S3. Hence, she expressed his Executive’s desire that “the values of the Social Economy permeate the entire business fabric of Navarre.” The meeting was also attended by representatives from the entire Navarre parliamentary arch, as well as the Government delegate in Navarre, José Luis Arasti. The event ended with a snack, to which the attendees and participants were invited in this new edition of the Day of the Social Economy in Navarra.
