Day of the Integration Companies of Navarre 2019

On Tuesday, October 29, at 11:30 a.m., the Day of the Integration Companies of Navarra took place in the auditorium of the Julian Romano Music School of Estella-Lizarra. This act, organized by the Association of Integration Companies of Navarre, was opened by the mayor of Estella-Lizarra, Gonzalo Fuentes, with the participation of the Managing Director of the Navarre Employment Service, Miriam Martón, as well as the president and the technical secretary of the EINA Association, a representation of the working people, of the Manager of the invited entity Gizatea-Association of Insertion Companies of the Basque Country, Leire Álvarez de Eulate and the closing by the Counselor of the Department of Social Rights of the Government from Navarra, Mª Carmen Maeztu. During the event, the awards were given to Socially Responsible Entities of Navarre, which in this second edition, the Departments of Citizen Relations and Rural Development and Environment of the Government of Navarre were awarded.

The award is for those entities and / or Public Administrations that have distinguished themselves for being “Socially Responsible” by complying with the reserve percentage established by law. This recognition aims to promote compliance with the reservation of contracts to social entities established in the Foral Law 2/2018, of Public Contracts. The departments recognized this year have a reserve index of 15.30% (Citizen Relations) and 8.08% (Rural Development). The importance of compliance with the 6% contract reserve is that it favors the development of the social work of the Integration Companies and Special Employment Centers, in a directly proportional manner, and promotes job opportunities, in the form of hiring, of the most vulnerable people, ultimately favoring greater social cohesion in Navarra, in addition to saving social expenses such as Guaranteed Income. The ones in charge of collecting the awards were the technical general secretary José Miguel Gorricho Ochoa, on behalf of the Department of Citizen Relations and the head of the Natural Environment Service, José Fermín Olabe Velasco, on behalf of the Department of Rural Development at the hands of two company workers of insertion associated with EINA.

The awards ceremony was enlivened by a small theatrical performance of a superhero that embodied the insertion companies, who, thanks to their super powers (the services of the EIS), integrate people at risk of social exclusion through employment. He defeats the entities who are reluctant to apply the contract reservation law.
